The Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi 1968/69 was the sixth season of the second highest Turkish league in professional men's football. It was started on August 25, 1968 with the 1st game day and ended on May 18, 1969 with the 38th and final game day.

In the 1968/69 season, the TFF 1st Lig was divided into two groups, as in the previous season. In contrast to the previous season, the total number of teams has been reduced from 40 teams to 36, so that the two groups now consist of 18 teams each instead of 20 teams each. A total of 36 teams played in two groups for promotion to the Süper Lig and against relegation to the then third-class TFF 3rd Lig . The top of the table in both groups rose directly to the higher Süper Lig and the teams in the last three places in the table in both groups in the subordinate third-class 3rd Lig.

At the beginning of the season, the three relegated teams from the Süper Lig Hacettepe GK , Ankaragücü GK , Feriköy SK and the newly promoted TFF 3rd Lig Düzcespor were added to the 28 teams remaining from the previous season .

MKE Ankaragücü reached the championship of the group red and thus the direct promotion back to the Süper Lig . In the white group , Samsunspor secured the championship and took part in the Süper for the first time. The Turkish Football Association had the champions of the league determined by a playoff between the two first-placed teams. In this encounter, MKE Ankaragücü met against Samsunspor and won the championship after a 1-0 win. However, the Turkish Football Association later declared both clubs to be champions of the TFF 1st Lig.

At the end of the season were from the red group Sarıyer SK , Edirnespor , Karagümrük SK and from the white group Konyaspor , Beylerbeyi SK , Kastamonuspor as relegated.

At the beginning of the season, the Ankaragücü Gençlik Kulübü club , Ankaragücü GK for short, changed its name to Makine Kimya Endüstrisi Ankaragücü Spor Kulübü , MKE Ankaragücü for short .

In this match MKE Ankaragücü met against Samsunspor and won the championship with a 1-0 victory. The Turkish Football Association later declared both clubs as champions of the Türkiye 2.
