The Iddaa Lig A 2005/06 was the 43rd season of the second highest Turkish division in professional men's football. Relegated from the Süper Lig were Sakaryaspor , İstanbulspor and Akçaabat Sebatspor this season . The newcomers included Orduspor , Gaziantep BB and Uşakspor .
A new mode was introduced this season, 1st and 2nd place go straight to the Süper Lig. The teams from 3rd to 6th place qualify for the playoff round. In this round, the last promotion place is awarded. The winner of the playoff final is 3rd promoted. This season, Bursaspor and Antalyaspor have been promoted directly to the Süper Lig and Sakaryaspor secured the last promotion spot for the first time in the new mode. Relegated were Mersin İdman Yurdu , Yozgatspor and Çanakkale Dardanelspor .
