Ahmet Kuru (born April 23, 1982 in Rotenburg ) is a former German-Turkish football player .
Career
Kuru started his football career at Rotenburger SV before moving to Werder Bremen in 1997 and in 2001 to the amateurs. From the 2004/05 season he played at Eintracht Braunschweig . During this season he scored 24 goals, including against VfB Lübeck with an overhead kick , which was goal of the month in August 2004, and as the top scorer of this regional league season contributed significantly to the promotion of Eintracht Braunschweig to the 2nd Bundesliga . During the winter break of the 2006/07 season he moved to FC St. Pauli , with whom he returned to the 2nd Bundesliga .
For the 2008/09 season he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig promoted Antalyaspor . After one and a half years he left Antalyaspor and moved to Orduspor in the 2nd Turkish league . In the summer of 2011 he rose to the Süper Lig with Orduspor.
After advancing to the Süper Lig with Orduspor, he left this club towards third division Bozüyükspor . After one season he moved to Bandırmaspor within the league . From there he went to league competitor Pazarspor in 2014 , to which he belonged until 2015. He then left his career at Orduspor , with whom he relegated to the Turkish third division at the end of the 2015/16 season and was briefly used there. When his contract expired at the end of the 2016/17 season, Kuru ended his active career.
