Müslüm Yelken (born November 28, 1988 in Develi ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

Müslüm Yelken was born in the county town of Develi in the province of Kayseri . He moved to Germany with his family when he was a child . He grew up in Balgheim in Baden-Württemberg and learned to play football in the youth departments of various amateur clubs. In the B-youth he moved to FC 08 Villingen and moved up there for the 2007/08 season in the top division; here he made twelve league games.

At that time he was being watched by some talent hunters. For the new season there was an offer from the Turkish second division club Orduspor and so he moved to Turkey. At Orduspor, he made the breakthrough to become a regular player straight away. In 2010/11 he and his team were promoted to the Süper Lig . In his first Süper Lig season he lost his regular place, but came as a substitute to six league games.

After five years Yelken left Orduspor and moved to Ankaraspor within the TFF 1st Lig . At the end of April 2014, he terminated his contract after a protracted injury and left the capital city. Yelken returned to Germany and a year and a half followed with two operations and rehab. In December 2015, his former club, FC 08 Villingen, announced their commitment to the second half of the season.
