Süper Lig 2009/10

The Spor Toto Süper Lig 2010/11 was the 53rd season of the top Turkish league in men's football. It began on August 14, 2010 and ended on May 22, 2011 with the 34th and final game day.

Fenerbahçe Istanbul emerged as the winner and thus Turkish champion. They were not allowed to participate in the European Cup because of suspected match-fixing. In 2013, UEFA suspended Fenerbahçe Istanbul from the European Cup for two years. The Turkish judiciary has found Fenerbahçe Istanbul guilty of match-fixing in 6 championship games. After Fenerbahçe Istanbul appealed to the European Sports Court (CAS), the CAS approved the judgment of UEFA. The championship title for the 2010/2011 season has not yet been awarded to the second-placed Trabzonspor by the Turkish Football Association TFF. Trabzonspor is still fighting to get the title for the 2010/2011 season.

Attendees

For the 2010/11 Süper Lig, the 15 clubs left from the previous season were joined by the three promoted teams from the last second division season . The climbers were the second division champion Kardemir Karabükspor , the runner-up Bucaspor and the play-off winner Konyaspor . While Karabükspor returned to the Süper Lig after twelve years and Konyaspor after three years, the promotion meant the first first division participation in the club's history for Bucaspor.
