1980 European Badminton Cup

The third edition of the European Badminton Cup took place in 1980 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. Here the English outsider Wimbledon SBC prevailed against the Danish favorite Hvidovre BC . In the semifinals, the host 1. BV Mülheim was clearly defeated by the Danish champions, while in the other semifinals the English had much more trouble with the Swedish club BMK Aura Malmö .
