1989 European Badminton Cup

The 12th edition of the European Badminton Cup took place in 1989 in San Javier, Spain. The English representative Headingley BC was successful, who defeated the Swedish club Göteborgs BK 4: 3 in the final. The German club FC Langenfeld was eliminated in the semi-finals against the eventual winner. Langenfeld defeated the Soviet defending champion SAC Omsk in a thrilling game in the quarterfinals . For the first and only time a representative from Gibraltar took part.
