Uğur Boral (born April 14, 1982 in Tokat ) is a former Turkish football player .

Career

He started his career at the amateur club GOP Karadenizspor . In the summer of 2000 he moved to Kocaelispor in the Turkish first division . After a successful season at Kocaelispor, the left midfielder moved to Gençlerbirliği Ankara , but Gençlerbirliği loaned him to Ankaraspor after just a year . Boral reached the 3rd place in the table of the second Turkish league with Ankaraspor and thus the first promotion in the club's history to the Süper Lig .

In 2006 he moved to Istanbul with a five-year contract to the traditional Turkish club Fenerbahçe Istanbul and won the Turkish championship in his first season . On December 12, 2007 Uğur Boral played his first appearance in the Champions League against CSKA Moscow and scored two goals. After he lost his regular place in the 2009/10 season, he was unable to regain it. So he was loaned for the second half of the 2011/12 season to league rivals Samsunspor and released at the end of the season.

After he was released from Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2012, he moved to arch-rival Beşiktaş Istanbul . With this club, too, Boral was unable to continue his old form and fight for a regular place.

In summer 2015 he left Beşiktaş after three years and was not able to find a new employer afterwards. After he couldn't find a club in the 2015/16 winter transfer period, he declared his career over in February 2016.

National team

Boral started his national team career in 2004 with a commitment for the second selection of the Turkish national team , the Turkish A2 national team.

In March 2006 he was appointed to the squad of the Turkish national team for the first time by national coach Fatih Terim as part of a test match against the Czech national team and made his international debut in this match.

With the Turkish national team he took part in the European Championship in 2008 and reached the semi-finals with her. In the 2: 3 semi-final defeat against Germany , he scored the goal to mean 1: 0 for Turkey.

In total, he completed five A2 and twelve A internationals for Turkey.
