Issiar Dia (born June 8, 1987 in Sèvres , France ) is a Senegalese football player who also has French citizenship. He has been under contract with Yeni Malatyaspor since summer 2017 .
Career
society
Issiar Dia began his professional career in 2004 with the then French second division team Amiens SC , for which he scored eight goals in 45 league games.
In the summer of 2006, the Senegalese moved to the French first division club AS Nancy for a € 2 million transfer fee . On September 10, 2006 in the game against FC Toulouse , 19-year-old Issiar Dia made his Ligue 1 debut by coming on for Moncef Zerka in the 68th minute . Later on September 28, 2006, the Senegalese made his game and goal debut in European Cup in a 3-1 win in the second leg against tournament favorites FC Schalke 04 in the first round of the UEFA Cup , in addition, he was on all three goals involved and thus they reached the group stage up to the round of 32. Issiar Dia and his team caused a surprise in the UEFA competition. He made 115 league appearances for ASNL and scored 13 goals, eight of them in his final season with the Lorraine.
For the 2010/11 season Issiar Dia moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the Süper Lig , the first division in Turkey . He signed a four-year contract there.
In the summer of 2017 he was signed by the Turkish first division club Yeni Malatyaspor .
National team
He went through the French youth national teams of the U-18, U-19 and U-21, but then decided to play for the Senegalese national team in the future. The Senegalese made his debut on June 8, 2008 in the World Cup qualifier against Gambia in Bakau , he was substituted on in the 61st minute and the game ended 0-0. Issiar Dia made his goal debut on September 5, 2008 in the World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Blida , scoring his goal in the 53rd minute to give Senegal a 1-0 lead.
Style of play
The Senegalese can play in the right as well as in the left wing , but preferably in the right. He is also famous for his speed and fast tempo dribbles . Comparisons with Franck Ribéry are often drawn with his style of play .
