Ufuk Ceylan (born June 23, 1986 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .
Athletic career
Ufuk Ceylan started his career in the Altay İzmir youth team . In the 2004/2005 season he got a professional contract. After he performed outstandingly at Altay, the then first division club Manisaspor noticed him and signed him for the winter break of 2006/2007. In his first season he was only second goalkeeper, but still made 16 appearances in the Turkcell Süper Lig. However , he could not prevent the subsequent relegation to Bank Asya 1st Lig . In the second division he came to more missions and became the goalkeeper. Also in the 2008/2009 season he showed good performances, which were decisive for the promotion. Shortly before the end of the transfer period, Ufuk moved to Galatasaray Istanbul and signed a five-year deal.
In the fourth main round of the 2013/14 Turkish Cup, Ceylan saved four penalties in the penalty shoot-out against Gaziantep BB and thus ensured his team's progress.
After his contract with Galatasaray Istanbul expired on June 1, 2014, Ceylan moved to Istanbul Başakşehir on a free transfer . Here he was a substitute keeper for three seasons and moved on to league rivals Alanyaspor in the summer of 2017 . For the 2019/20 season he moved within the league to Yeni Malatyaspor .
