After graduating from secondary school in 2009, he moved to the A-youth team at Chelsea FC . Bayer Leverkusen had a buyback option with which Töre could be fetched back for a fixed sum. His contract with Chelsea ran until June 30, 2012. The clubs agreed not to disclose the exact financial terms of the transfer.

In the 2009/10 season he won the youth championship with his team, with Töre being one of the key players and convincing with good performances. After a year in the youth team, he was included in Chelsea's reserve squad. In the 2010/11 season he scored four goals and won the Premier Reserve League with his team . With 16 missions he was the most frequently used player in the reserve squad. Although he trained with the senior team, he was not used in any competitive game.

Hamburger SV

During the summer break of 2011, Töre moved to Hamburger SV . He signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2014 and was shirt number 17. He was the third new signing after Michael Mancienne and Jacopo Sala that HSV signed for the 2011/12 season from Chelsea. One of the deciding factors was HSV sports director Frank Arnesen , who already knew Töre from his time as a youth coordinator, sports director and board member at Chelsea FC; Arnesen had already brought Töre from Leverkusen to London. Töre made his first Bundesliga appearance on August 5, 2011 when he lost 3-1 in the opening game against Borussia Dortmund . He was in the starting line-up and played the full distance.

Rubin Kazan

On July 26, 2012 Töre moved to the Russian first division club Rubin Kazan . He signed a four-year contract until June 30, 2016. At Rubin Kazan, he did not get beyond a reserve role. Töre was in the league a total of 15 times in the squad, where he played twice from the start and was substituted three times. He made two appearances in the UEFA Europa League .

Beşiktaş Istanbul

For the 2013/14 season , Töre moved on loan to the Turkish first division club Beşiktaş Istanbul . At Beşiktaş he was one of the regular players and scored four goals in 30 league games. On August 8, 2014, Beşiktaş Istanbul signed him for a transfer fee of 4.5 million euros. Töre signed a five-year contract. For the 2016/17 season , Töre was loaned to West Ham United . The Londoners also had a purchase option. Here he fell short of expectations and only made five league appearances in one season. West Ham then decided not to use the purchase option and so Töre returned to Beşiktaş. Here he missed the entire 2017/18 season due to an injury and only made two short appearances in 2018/19. His contract term was not extended beyond the 2018/19 season.

Töre was elected to the "Team of the Tournament", but lost the election to "Player of the Tournament" against Danijel Aleksić .

In 2008 and 2009 he was invited by Marco Pezzaiuoli , the then coach of the German U-17 team, to courses at the DFB , but he never ran for a German youth team.

Guus Hiddink nominated him for the first time in May 2011 for a game of the Turkish national team , for the competitive game on June 3, 2011 against Belgium in the qualification for the Euro 2012 . In the game that ended 1-1, he was not used. Nevertheless, he was subsequently praised by the national coach: “The boy has everything to assert himself at a high level”. Previously, Töre was once accrued for the B selection in the 0-1 defeat on March 25, 2011 against the A team from Finland. He got a yellow card after 4 minutes and was substituted on for Murat Duruer after 69 minutes . On August 10, 2011, he completed his first appearance in the senior team in a friendly against Estonia , which was won 3-0. He was substituted on at half time. He was not appointed to the squad for the 2016 European Football Championship .

Armed attack

On October 15, 2013, after Turkey's World Cup qualifier against the Dutch team , Töre stormed into the room of his teammates Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Ömer Toprak and threatened them with a gun. The attack was aimed at a friend of Toprak's who was in the room.

The Turkish press wrote that after this incident, Çalhanoğlu and Toprak had given the national team's coaching staff an ultimatum to stay away from the national team if Töres was nominated. After this incident, Töre and the two victims were never in the team squad at the same time. After the national coach Fatih Terim invited Töre again as part of two European Championship qualifiers alongside Çalhanoğlu and Toprak, the two signed off due to injury. This fact ensured that the incident was picked up again in the specialist press. After there was no official confirmation for this incident for a long time, Çalhanoğlu's father Hüseyin confirmed in a newspaper interview the armed threat to his son and Ömer Topraks from fools and stated that the two players and Nuri Şahin were upset about this action. But he contradicted the rumors of an ultimatum and emphasized that the players really canceled due to injury and did not use this as an excuse. Çalhanoğlu reported on the attack on October 18, 2014 in the current sports studio .

Style of play

Töre achieves roughly the same shot hardness and precision with both feet. It can be used on the offensive on both the left and right wing or behind the attack center. His strengths include his speed, liveliness, agility and good technique as well as precise flanks. He has an extensive repertoire of offensive tricks and feints and is described as a very good dribbler who, however, often tends to be stubborn and does not enough defensive work.

Others

In a shooting in a discotheque in Istanbul at Easter 2014, Töre was injured as a bystander and had to be operated on.
