The 1st Lig 1966/67 was the ninth season of the top Turkish league in men's football . It began on September 10, 1966 and ended on June 25, 1967.

Turkish soccer champion was Beşiktaş Istanbul . It was the team's third championship. İstanbulspor , Izmirspor and Karşıyaka SK were relegated to the season.

As in the previous season, the season was very even. From fifth to 15th place (relegation place) there was only a difference of four points. Newcomers from the 2nd division were Eskişehirspor , Altınordu Izmir and Karşıyaka SK .

This season, 17 teams took part in the championship, one more than in the previous season. Karşıyaka SK was excluded in 1964 and was re-admitted in this season by the lower part of the civil court. After 1964 three teams were relegated to the second division.
