Fevzi Zemzem (born June 4, 1941 in İskenderun ) is a former Turkish footballer and football coach.

Through his many years of work for Göztepe Izmir , he is very strongly associated with this association. On the fan and club side, he is seen as one of the most important players in club history. When playing as a player, he was referred to as Buldozer Fevzi (Eng .: Fevzi the bulldozer ) because of his physical strength and assertiveness . With players like Nevzat Güzelırmak and Ali Artuner, he represents the glory days of Göztepes, when they were one of the first Anatolian teams to compete with the three big Istanbul clubs Galatasaray , Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş . Zemzem was the team's top scorer and as such was the top scorer of the Süper Lig in the first division season 1967/68 .

Player career

Fevzi Zemzem played for Göztepe Izmir for 14 years . In the 14 years he scored 146 goals and was once top scorer in 1967/68. He played 18 games for Turkey . During his playing career, Fevzi Zemzem was called Bulldozer .

With his club he won the President's Cup with a 3-1 win against Fenerbahçe Istanbul at the end of the 1969/70 season . This made them the first non-Istanbul team to win this trophy.

Coaching career

His first job as a coach was at Orduspor . The season with Orduspor he finished 4th (1978/79), which he qualified with his team for the UEFA Cup . He later trained Samsunspor and Diyarbakirspor .
