Eriş went through the Turkish U-18 and U-21 national teams .

Coaching career

After Levent Eriş had ended his career as a player, he became assistant coach at Izmirspor a few months later . A year later he was promoted to head coach. This was followed by positions at Manisaspor , Kayseri Erciyesspor , Mersin İdman Yurdu SK , Altay İzmir , Diyarbakırspor , Samsunspor and Adana Demirspor . On his second return to Manisaspor in 2008, he managed with the team in the 2008/09 season promotion to the Turkcell Süper Lig . Despite the promotion, Eriş resigned before the start of the season.

In September 2009 he took over at Giresunspor from Yüksel Yeşilova, who was on leave, and looked after the team until the end of the season.

For the new season he was presented as head coach at the second division Boluspor. With his team he was able to stay on the promotion or relegation places for most of the season. Only in the last days of the game did they move away from the upper half of the table. After the defeat on the 31st matchday even the relegation places were in danger, Eriş offered the club management his resignation. This then replaced Eriş with Hüsnü Özkara , but also missed the relegation places with the new coach.

For the 2011/12 season he took over the second division side Adanaspor . He led this club at the end of the season to the playoff final of the TFF 1st Lig . In the final they lost to Kasımpaşa Istanbul 2: 3 in extra time and thus missed promotion to the Süper Lig only in the last encounter. At the end of the season, club president Bayram Akgül confirmed that they would continue to work with Eriş in the coming season.

At the end of the 2012/13 season, Adanaspor split from Eriş. After Adanaspor worked unsuccessfully with two different coaches in the 2013/14 season, Eriş was hired again as head coach before the 9th matchday of this season. After Adanaspor had shown a below-expected start to the 2014/15 season, Eriş offered to resign in mid-November 2014. This resignation was not accepted by the club president Bayram Akgül and Eriş moved to continue his work. So he continued his activity. During the league game against Kayserispor on December 13, 2014 , Eriş fell unconscious and had to be rushed to hospital. After inpatient treatment, he resigned from his position in January 2015 and was replaced by Güvenç Kurtar .

In April 2015, he took over Bucaspor, a second division club in his hometown of Izmir that was threatened with relegation, and failed to keep relegation. Despite the relegation, he stayed at Bucaspor's head coach beyond the end of the season. In September 2016 he left this and took over the fourth division club Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor .

In March 2017, he took over relegation-threatened second division club Mersin İdman Yurdu , but missed relegation with this.
