Sinan Turhan (born February 10, 1958 in Bilecik ) is a former Turkish football player and today's coach.
Athletic career
In the club
Sinan Turhan started his career with Adana Demirspor . In both the 1977/78 and 1978/79 seasons Turhan was the top scorer of the Turkish Football Cup. In both seasons he scored four goals, in 1978 Turhan shared 1st place with Bünyamin Çulçu , Sedat Özden and Cengiz Yazıcıoğlu . In 1979 there were nine players with Turhan ( Halil Ağan , Raşit Çetiner , Mustafa Denizli , Vehbi Günay , Reşit Kaynak , Sedat Özden, Bora Öztürk and Sava Paunovic ).
For the 1979/80 season, the striker moved to Çaykur Rizespor . Turhan played in Rize for two years and then went to Galatasaray Istanbul . With the yellow-reds he won the Turkish Cup in his first season. In the first leg of the final, Turhan scored a 1-0 lead. Sinan Turhan stayed with Galatasaray until the end of the 1982/83 season.
In the summer of 1984 he moved to Sakaryaspor . After the 1985/86 season he made 12 goals in 35 games this season, which was his best performance in the first division . Despite his personal best performance, Sakaryaspor was relegated to the second division. The direct resurgence succeeded Sakaryaspor in the following season. At the end of the 1987/88 season Turhan was a second time Turkish Cup winner. He left Sakaryaspor a few months later and became a player for Mersin İdman Yurdu .
The 1992/93 season with İçel Polisgücü was his last and he ended his career.
In the national team
Sinan Turhan played for Turkey U-21 from 1977 to 1981.
Coaching career
Sinan Turahn worked as an assistant coach at Çanakkale Dardanelspor , Altay İzmir and Gençlerbirliği Ankara from 1994 to 2005 .
