Mehmet Hilmi Yılmaz (born May 22, 1979 in Of , Turkey ) is a Turkish football player.

Career

society

Yılmaz's career began with his youth clubs Trabzon Telekomspor, Gümüşhane Doğanspor , Çanakkale Dardanelspor , Altay İzmir and Samsunspor .

He completed his first professional league year in the 2003/04 season when he moved from the youth of the then Süper Lig club Samsunspor to Trabzonspor for a fee of one million euros . With Trabzonspor he won the Turkish Cup in 2004 . In 2005 he was loaned to Denizlispor before moving to his current club Ankaraspor in July 2006 . For the 2008/09 season he moved to local rivals MKE Ankaragücü .

At the beginning of September 2012, his move to Akhisar Belediyespor was announced. He signed a two-year contract here. After half a season he left Akhisar Belediyespor and moved to the third division Kızılcahamamspor .

National team

Yılmaz was nominated for the first time for the Turkish U-21 national team while at Samsunspor and played a total of eight games for them. He then played in the years 2003 to 2004 twice for the second selection for the Turkish national team and once for the first selection.
