Gölbaşıspor is a Turkish football club from the district town of Gölbaşı in Ankara Province . The green-whites play their home games in Gölbaşı İlçe Stadı . The team is called Çıtaklar by their fans .

history

The club was founded in 1950 as Kızılcahamamspor and received the club colors green and white, which are still used today. After trying for several years to move up to the lowest Turkish professional league, they bought the competition rights of the third division Altındağ Belediyespor and played in this league. After four years in the TFF 3rd Lig they were relegated. The following years tried in vain to climb back into this league.

For the 2010/11 season they bought the competition rights of the third division club Pursaklarspor and have been playing in the TFF 2nd Lig since then . With Üstün Bilgi they were the top scorer of the third division season 2011/12 .

The club from the central Anatolian city of Kızılcahamam sold its competition rights in the summer of 2014. The team then moved to the new owner in the Central Anatolian city of Gölbaşı and was renamed Gölbaşıspor. In the third division 2014/15 season , the team missed the relegation of the TFF 2nd Lig and was relegated to the TFF 3rd Lig. Relegated to this league, the club also missed relegation here and was relegated to the amateur league.
