Türkiye Kupası 2010/11

The Turkish Football Cup 2011/12 began on December 7th, 2011 with the 1st main round and ended on May 16th, 2012 with the final. The Turkish Cup was held for the 50th time this season. The Turkish cup winner was given the right to start in the final qualifying round for the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League . If the cup winner has already qualified for the UEFA Champions League (or its qualification) via the Süper Lig , the loser of the final is qualified for the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

The final was held in the Turkish capital Ankara in 19 Mayıs Stadyumu Ankara instead. Fenerbahçe Istanbul was in the final for the 15th time and Bursaspor for the fifth time. Both teams met in the same pairing in the finals of the 1973/74 season. Bursaspor won the first leg 1-0, but Fenerbahçe won the second leg 3-0 and won the Turkish Cup.

Fenerbahçe Istanbul won the final with a 4-0 win and was cup winners for the fifth time in the club's history.

mode

The mode has been changed compared to previous years. The group phase has been abolished, from the 1st round to the finals the game is played in knockout mode.
