Wederson Luiz da Silva Medeiros (born July 22, 1981 in Campos dos Goytacazes , Brazil ) known as Gökçek Vederson in Turkey, is a football player with Turkish and Brazilian nationality.
Player career
In his youth Wederson played for SC Internacional , Vasco da Gama and EC Juventude . He got his first professional contract with the Brazilian club Ituano FC . He played there for two years before going to Turkey; to the then second division team Ankaraspor . In the first season Wederson conquered a regular place and was significantly involved in the rise in the 03/04 season in the Süperlig.
In the following two years Wederson attracted attention after great performances in the Süperlig Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Fenerbahçe Istanbul signed him on June 11, 2007 for 3 years. He plays in attacking midfield or on the left wing. On September 19, 2007, he played his first Champions League game against Inter Milan . Fenerbahçe won the game 1-0. Wederson scored his first goal for the Blue-Yellows on October 20, 2007 against Konyaspor .
For the 2010/2011 season he moved from Fenerbahçe Istanbul to the reigning champions Bursaspor on a free transfer . He scored his first goal for Bursaspor against Galatasaray Istanbul from about 40 meters away with a long-range shot.
After Vederson's contract expired in the summer of 2013, he moved to Medical Park Antalyaspor . With this club Vederson missed relegation at the end of the season and then left this. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu .
When his contract ended in the summer of 2016, Vederson left Mersin İY and moved to the second division side Adana Demirspor . He left this club in the 2016/17 winter transfer period
