Sebastián Pinto Perurena (born February 5, 1986 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean football player . In Latin America he was called "El Tanque" (The Tank) by fans. His father Carlos Pinto is a well-known journalist and TV speaker in Chile.

Career

Latin America

Sebastián Pinto started playing club football in the youth of CF Universidad de Chile . In the 2006/07 season he was accepted into the professional team, but came only sporadically to missions. In order to enable him match practice, he was loaned for the second half of the same season to the league competitor CD Cobreloa . Returned from Cobreloa, he won a regular place in the new season and attracted attention with his good performances. In 2008 he moved to the Brazilian top club FC Santos .

AS Nancy

After half a season at FC Santos, he moved again, this time to the French first division club AS Nancy . Without making a game, he left AS Nancy after half a year.

Latin America

Pinto initially moved to the Argentine club CD Godoy Cruz , but he did not make a breakthrough here either. From the 2009/10 season he played half a season each for Audax Italiano and AS Varese 1910 . At the start of the 2011/12 season, he moved to the Chilean first division club CD O'Higgins . Here he was able to assert himself from the start and scored 13 goals in 14 league games by the end of the season.

Bursaspor

The Turkish first division club, who was looking for a striker in Latin America, became aware of Pinto's good performance at CD O'Higgins . So an agreement was reached in the winter break of 2011/12 and Pinto switched to the Turkish Süper Lig for a transfer fee of € 600,000 . Here he made his breakthrough straight away with eight goals in 13 games. In the 2013/2014 season, Pinto no longer played a role under coach Christoph Daum and was put on the sales list by him. Since he could not find a new club in the 2013/14 winter transfer period, he stayed with Bursaspor, but was not included in the squad. Pinto himself justified the failure of a change with the excessively high transfer fee and accused the club of worsening its chances of participating in the World Cup with the Chilean national team . He had a total of 65 appearances for Bursaspor and scored 29 goals in these.

In July 2014, by mutual agreement with Bursaspor, he terminated his contract and left this club.

Return to Latin America

Pinto returned to Latin America in the summer of 2014 and played for the clubs Millonarios FC and CD O'Higgins.

Eskişehirspor

In the summer of 2015 he returned to Turkey and joined the first division side Eskişehirspor , the arch-rival of Bursaspor. He left this association in mid-February 2016 by mutual agreement.
