Cengiz Yazıcıoğlu (born January 1, 1953 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player .

Athletic career

In the club

Cengiz Yazıcıoğlu started his career at Göztepe Izmir . Yazıcıoğlu left Göztepe after one season and moved to Kayserispor . The midfielder played with Kayserispor for two years in the first division , but they were relegated to the second division after the 1974/75 season . In the season 1977/78 Cengiz Yazıcıoğlu was together with Bünyamin Çulçu , Sedat Özden and Sinan Turhan top scorer of the Turkish Football Cup. The return to the first division should take four years and as a promoted Kayserispor rose again directly. Yazıcıoğlu then moved to Galatasaray Istanbul .

For the yellow-reds he played in his first season in 26 league games. At the end of the following season 1981/82 he won the Turkish Cup with his teammates. A month later the Devlet Başkanlığı Kupası won .

In the summer of 1983 the midfielder went to Fatih Karagümrük SK . The 1983/84 season was his last and he ended his career.
