Orhan Kaynak , also known as Küçük Orhan (born March 1, 1970 in Ceyhan , Adana Province ) is a former Turkish soccer player and coach. He belongs to a family of footballers known in Turkish football as Kayhan Kardeşler . His five brothers Reşit Kaynak , Kayhan Kaynak , İrfan Kaynak , İlhan Kaynak and Ayhan Kaynak were also active in professional football, the first two even being national players several times.

Player career

Kaynak began his professional football career in 1987 at Adanaspor , where he was active until 1990. In the 1991-92 season he played for Samsunspor . His most successful time was in the 1993/94 season at Trabzonspor . He moved to Beşiktaş Istanbul in the 1995/1996 season , where he failed to make a breakthrough. 1997/98 Kaynak played for Kocaelispor and his performances were steadily increasing. In 2001 Kaynak moved to the Greek first division club Skoda Xanthi , where he could not prevail again and was not even allowed to take a seat on the bench. In the same year he moved to the Turkish 2nd division to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor , where it did not last long again. He moved to Kayserispor after just two months . After the missed promotion to the first Turkish league ( Süper Lig ) he moved to the team of Akçaabat Sebatspor, with whom he was promoted in 2003/04, but he had to relegate again the following season. In 2005/06 he moved again to Kocaelispor. From 2006 to 2007 he played for Sarıyer SK and ended his career at the end of the season.

National team

Kaynak played six times for the Turkish U-21 national team between 1989 and 1990 and scored one goal.

Coaching career

A year after the end of his playing career, Kaynak decided to work as a coach from now on. Since then he has assisted Rıza Çalımbay , his team captain from his time with Beşiktaş Istanbul , in all of his coaching positions as assistant coach. Since summer 2017 he has been working for second division Adana Demirspor .

His head coach career began in March 3018 with the third division team Sarıyer SK . For the 2018/19 season he took over the second division side Elazığspor .
