Türkiye Kupası 1996/97

The Türkiye Kupası 1997/98 was the 36th edition of the Turkish soccer cup competition . The competition began on September 17, 1997 with the first round and ended on April 8, 1998 with the second leg of the final. In the final game met Galatasaray and Besiktas each other. Galatasaray took part in the final for the 16th time and Beşiktaş for the 9th time. Both clubs played against each other for the fourth time in the final.

Beşiktaş Istanbul won the cup for the 5th time. They defeated Galatasaray Istanbul in the decisive second leg on penalties 2-4. In the first and second leg the result was a 1-1 draw.
