Aykut Kocaman (born April 5, 1965 in Geyve , Adapazarı , Sakarya ) is a former Turkish soccer player and soccer coach . He is considered one of the most successful strikers in Turkish football in general and Fenerbahçe Istanbul in particular. With the latter he was the only one both as a player and as a coach of Turkish champions . He is seen by both the club and its fans as one of the most legendary players in the club's history. With 140 league goals for Fenerbahçe, he is the most successful goalscorer in the club's history. In addition, with 200 league goals , he is the fifth most successful goal scorer in the Süper Lig and therefore one of five players who made it into the 200'ler Kulübü .
Player career

Aykut Kocaman started his career at Sakaryaspor in 1984 . In his last season for Sakaryaspor, he won the Turkish Cup. For the 1988/89 season he moved to the traditional club Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Aykut Kocaman scored 142 goals in 213 games for Fenerbahçe. He won the Turkish championship with Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the seasons 1988/89 and 1995/96 and was top scorer in the Süper Lig three times : 1988/89 with 29 goals, 1991/92 with 25 goals and 1994/95 with 27 goals. In 1996, Kocaman's contract at Fenerbahçe was dissolved and he moved to İstanbulspor on a free transfer and played there until the end of his career.
National team
Aykut Kocaman played 15 games for Turkey and scored one goal.
Coaching career
Kocaman began his coaching career after playing at Istanbulspor. After four years he left Istanbulspor. This was followed by one-year positions at Malatyaspor , Konyaspor and Ankaraspor . After the 2008/09 season, Kocaman left Ankaraspor and became sports director at Fenerbahçe Istanbul. After Christoph Daum's dismissal on June 25, 2010, Kocaman became the new coach at Fenerbahçe Istanbul. After differences with club president Aziz Yildirim , Kocaman resigned in May 2013.
At the end of October 2014 he was introduced to his former club Torku Konyaspor as the successor to Mesut Bakkal .
