José Fernando Viana de Santana , with short name Fernandão or José Fernando (born March 27, 1987 in Rio de Janeiro ), is a Brazilian football player in the service of al-Wahda .

Career

Fernandão started his club soccer in the youth department of America FC . Here he was accepted into the professional squad in 2007. A year later he moved to Tombense FC and stayed with the club until the summer of 2012. During this time he was loaned to a number of Brazilian and foreign clubs.

In summer 2012 he left Tombense FC for Athletico Paranaense . He was also loaned out several times from this club.

For the second half of the 2013/14 season Fernandão was loaned to the Turkish Süper Lig at Bursaspor . After he had completed the second half of the season with ten goals in 16 league games and thus became the most successful goalscorer of his team, his club extended his loan contract for another season. He continued his high form in the 2014/15 season and was the top scorer in the Süper Lig with 22 goals at the end of the season .

Fernandão moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul for the 2015/16 season .
