Ferit Alper Salgın (born September 29, 1975 in Niğde ) is a former Turkish football player .

Career

Salgın began with club football in the youth of his home club and the then third division Niğdespor . For the season 1998/99 he was involved as an eighteen-year-old with a professional contract in the professional squad and made his professional debut on the first day of the season against İskenderun Demir Çelik Genel Müdürlüğüspor . From this game on, he secured a regular place within the team and scored ten goals in 16 games by the winter break. Through this achievement he made many clubs in the upper leagues aware of himself. So the then second division Mersin İdman Yurdu loaned him with the option to buy in the winter break for the second half of the season.

At Mersin IY he played twelve games by the end of the season and scored twelve goals. After this performance he returned to Niğdespor at the end of the season. For the coming season he moved to the second division Adıyamanspor . At this club he fell short of expectations with one goal in 13 games. Since Adıyamanspor went through a troubled phase, Salgın was given to the league rivals Elazığspor during the winter break . At this club, Salgın increased and scored nine league goals by the end of the season.

With his rising form curve at Elazığspor, Salgın drew attention again. For example, the first division team Gençlerbirliği Ankara signed him for the summer of 2000 . At this club he competed by storm against such players as Ahmed Hassan , Souleymane Youla , Cafer Aydın and Tarık Daşgün and completed 20 games by the end of the season in which he scored two goals. For the new season he moved to league rivals Diyarbakırspor . Even at his second first division club, he could not assert himself against the other strikers Murat Hacıoğlu and Saffet Akyüz .

After his two unsuccessful first division years, he returned to the second division in the summer of 2003 and hired at Kayserispor . At this club he only stayed until the start of the second half of the season and then moved to Büyüksehir Belediye Ankaraspor within the league . Although he could not assert himself here as a regular player, he was third in the table with his team in the 2003/04 season and thus achieved direct promotion to the Süper Lig .

After the rise with BB Ankaraspor in the Süper Lig, Salgın moved to the third division Şanlıurfaspor and a year later within the TFF 2. Lig to Kasımpaşa Istanbul . At this club he quickly established himself as a service provider. His team finished the second division season 2005/06 as champions and rose to the TFF 1st Lig . Promoted to the TFF 1st Lig, Salgın kept his regular place. He scored eleven goals by the end of the season, making him the second most successful goalscorer of his team behind his strike partner Erhan Küçük . With Kasımpaşa he was playoff winner this season and ensured that the club participated in the next Turkish league, the Süper Lig , after 43 years .

In the summer of 2007, Salgın Kasımpaşa left, played one year for Adana Demirspor , half a season each for Çankırı Belediyespor and İstanbulspor and then ended his playing career in summer 2009.
