Hans Ernst Christian Lüdeking (born July 14, 1864 in Bremen ; † November 16, 1945 in Bremerhaven ) was a German educator and politician ( SPD ).

education and profession

Lüdeking was the son of a railroad worker. He attended the parish school St. Michaelis and the secondary school in Bremen. He graduated from the Bremen teachers' seminar from 1881 to 1884 . From 1884 to 1889 he was an assistant teacher and from 1889 to 1931 a teacher at the elementary school on Grossenstrasse in the Stephaniviertel .

politics

Lüdeking was a member of the SPD and from 1919 to 1922 the USPD. In 1919/20 he was a member of the Bremen National Assembly and from 1920 to 1930 a member of the Bremen Parliament and from 1919 to 1921 its vice-president. He was a member of various deputations , especially in the school system. After 1918, he made great contributions to the rebuilding of the Bremen school system .

  • The Lüdekingstraße in Bremen- Walle was named in 1955 after him.
  • In 1932 he was elected honorary chairman of the Bremen teachers' association.
