Marco Jäger (born January 19, 1981 ) is a former German track cyclist .

In 1999 Marco Jäger was second in the sprint and third in the team sprint at the UCI-Bahn World Championships for Juniors in Athens , together with Peter Clemen and David Rohler. In 2000 he became German vice-champion in the team sprint, together with André Schütze and Sven Peterschick. In 2001 in Chemnitz and 2002 in Büttgen he finished third in the team sprint. In 2004 he became German runner-up in the 1000-meter time trial in Leipzig ; at the Athens Open Balkan Championship he was second in the team sprint (with Jan van Eijden and Michael Seidenbecher ) and third in the time trial.

2005 was the most successful year for Marco Jäger: In Fiorenzuola d'Arda he became European champion in the sprint omnium and vice-European champion in the team sprint with Giese and Robert Förstemann . At the German track championships he was German champion in the team sprint together with Daniel Giese and Sören Lausberg , second in the time trial and third in the sprint and keirin. In 2006 he finished third in the Keirin.

At the end of 2006 Jäger ended his active cycling career.
