Sascha Huebner

Sascha Hübner (born February 29, 1988 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German track cyclist .

In the junior class, Sascha Hübner took several podium places at German championships. In his first participation in an elite championship in 2007, he finished third in the keirin . At the 2009 championships in Erfurt he was German champion in the team sprint together with Robert Förstemann and Carsten Bergemann . In 2010 he was third in the German championships in the 1000 meter time trial . In 2011 he had to take a longer break from training and competitions due to knee problems.

In 2012 and 2013, Hübner took third place in the 1000-meter time trial at the German track cycling championships. At the German championships in track cycling in 2016 , he contested his last races; in the team sprint he finished third together with Roger Kluge and Maximilian Levy . He then ended his athletic career.

Sascha Hübner is a member of the Chemnitz Police Sports Club and drove for the UCI Track Team Team Natural Gas . 2012 . He is the son of the seven-time track world champion Michael Huebner .
