Şenol Akın (born December 20, 1984 in Gebze ) is a Turkish football player who plays for Denizlispor .
Career
Youth team and first professional years
Akın started club football in the youth of Körfez Belediyesi Hereke Yıldızspor . In the 2002/03 season he signed a professional contract with the then fourth division club Izmitspor . Here he played two seasons consistently in the regular formation. Then he moved to city rivals Körfezspor . Here he stayed for a season without being used in a game.
Between 1st, 2nd and 3rd league
For the upcoming 2005/06 season he moved to the then third division club Karabükspor . Here he made the jump into the starting XI right away. In the 2007/08 season he and his team were promoted to the second highest Turkish league, Bank Asya 1. Lig . Akın was also one of the top performers in this division. During the season he played a major role in the championship in Bank Asya 1st Lig and thus in direct promotion to the Süper Lig . In the first Süper Lig season he made 18 appearances, but lost the playmaker's regular place to Florin Cernat . For the 2011/12 season he was sorted out and from then on trained with the reserve team.
After seven years of activity for Karabükspor Akın separated at the end of the 2011/12 season from this club and hired for the upcoming season at the second division Torku Konyaspor .
In spring 2014 Akın moved to the second division Şanlıurfaspor . He played here for a year and moved to league rivals Denizlispor in February 2015 .
