Burak Akdiş (born June 12, 1977 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player who is currently playing for Korfez FK .
Career
society
Akdiş began playing club football in his native Istanbul in the youth of the traditional Turkish club Kartalspor . Here he received a professional contract at the end of the 1994/95 season and came to the end of the season with the then second division team for two league appearances. The next season he increased both his number of uses and his performances. As a result, several talent hunters became aware of him and offered his club a transfer offer. The reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray Istanbul made the race . Akdiş switched to the Champions League participant. Although Galatasaray was very well staffed in his offensive department, Akdiş was used by the coach Fatih Terim especially in cup encounters and league encounters against lighter opponents in order to relieve the experienced players in this position. So he completed 17 league matches by the end of the season and became Turkish champions with his club and made it into the Turkish U-21 national team .
Shortly before the end of the summer transfer period, he was loaned to the first division club Göztepe Izmir for the 1999/00 season and missed Galatasaray's UEFA Cup win. In the summer of 2000, Galatasaray separated from its sponsor Fatih Terim. The Romanian new coach Mircea Lucescu sorted out Akdiş immediately and let him borrow for two years. Akdiş played as a loan player with the second division side Kayseri Erciyesspor and Karabükspor .
In the summer of 2002 he moved to the second division Sivasspor for a fee . Here he immediately established himself as a top performer and ensured with his 15 goals in 31 league matches that his club was involved in the promotion battle until the end of the season. The season ended in fourth place in the table. Despite this successful time, he left Sivasspor and hired for the next season at league rivals Sakaryaspor . With this team he reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and thus direct promotion to the Süper Lig . He then played one more season in the Süper Lig for Sakaryaspor and left the club in summer 2005.
After his departure from Sakaryaspor Akdiş came to an agreement with the first division side Kayseri Erciyesspor and played for this club for half a season. In spring 2006 he left Erciyesspor and moved to the second division side Bursaspor . With this club he reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and thus direct promotion to the Süper Lig. Akdiş was one of the main players in this success with his six league goals and several assists. After playing for this club in the Süper Lig for half a year, he left the club when his contract ended in summer 2007.
The next one and a half seasons he played for his old club and second division club Sakaryaspor . For the winter break of 2008/09 he left this club and moved within the league to another old club, to Karabükspor . With this club he reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig for the third time in his career in the summer of 2010 and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig .
After this success, he dissolved his contract by mutual agreement and moved to the second division Boluspor . After a year in Bolu, he was hired by the second division side Elazığspor . Here he only played the first half of the season and moved to the second half of the season for the Istanbul second division club Kartalspor , the club where he started club football about 16 years ago. After half a season he left this club again.
For the second half of the 2012/13 season he reached an agreement with the third division club Körfez FK .
