Ümit İnal (born September 18, 1969 in Şanlıurfa ) is a former Turkish football player and coach. He was three-time top scorer in the TFF 1st Lig , which he played in the 1992/93 , 2000/01 and 2003/04 seasons . With his second division he is one of the most successful second division hunters in general and one of the most successful of the second division times of the 1990s and 2000s in particular.

Career

society

İnal began his professional career in the summer of 1989 with Istanbul third division club Vefa SK . After only two years he left the Istanbul team and moved to the first division side Trabzonspor . With this club he took part in the pre-season preparatory camp and then remained without a competitive game until October 1991. For the rest of the season İnal was loaned to the second division club İnegölspor . For Inegölspor he completed 16 league games by the end of the season in which he scored two goals.

In the summer of 1992 he returned to Trabzonspor and was then given to the second division club DÇ Karabükspor . At this club, İnal made it straight to the starting eleven and experienced his breakthrough. He scored 21 goals in 37 league games and was together with Yücel Çolak from Mersin İdman Yurdu top scorer of the second division season 1992/93 . Through his goals, he played a major role in the fact that his club finished the season in third and rose to the top Turkish league for the first time in his club's history. In the top division, which was then known as the 1st Lig , İnal advanced to a successful goal scorer with eight goals this season and contributed to the fact that his club retained the chance of relegation until the last day of the match. But after relegation was ultimately missed, İnal left the club.

After saying goodbye to Karabükspor, İnal moved to the first division club Kocaelispor in the summer of 1994 . At his new club he came as a strike partner of Faruk Yiğit to frequent missions, but remained largely below expectations. After İnal could not show the hoped-for breakthrough in the second season at Kocaelispor and the club had brought back its former star striker Saffet Sancaklı , İnal was handed over to the second division side Kuşadasıspor in the summer of 1996 . For this club İnal played a season and then returned to Kocaelispor. Here he was sorted out by coach Holger Osieck after the pre-season preparatory camp and loaned to the second division club Sakaryaspor . With this club he was the most successful goalscorer of his club with 16 goals and contributed to the playoff victory and thus to the promotion of his team.

In the summer of 1998 İnal Kocaelispor left again and moved to the second division Yimpaş Yozgatspor . With this club he scored 14 goals in 29 games. His club made it to the quarter-finals of the playoffs and were eliminated 1-0 against Kayserispor . For the new season İnal moved within the league to relegated Çanakkale Dardanelspor . At this club, too, he became the most successful goalscorer of his team with 20 goals this season.

In the summer transfer period İnal left Dardanelspor for league rival Göztepe Izmir . With this club he experienced the most successful season of his career to date. With 26 goals he was the top scorer of the Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi and made a significant contribution to the fact that his club rose to champions of the season in the Süper Lig . After this success he stayed with Göztepe and played again in the highest Turkish division after five years. But since Göztepe signed Mustafa Özkan , Mustafa Özkan and Zafer Biryol in the 2001/02 season , all of whom were national players, İnal found stakes.

As a consequence of his low stakes in Göztepe İnal moved in the winter of 2001 to city rivals second division Altay Izmir . In this he scored 13 goals by the end of the season and formed one of the most successful storm duos of the second division season with Sinan Kaloğlu . With Altay he won the champions of the season and rose to the Süper Lig for the second time in a row . After the promotion he stayed with Altay. He lost his regular place in the first division season, but reached nine league goals as a supplementary player and was the second most successful goalscorer of his team behind Kaloğlu. After Altay had missed relegation, İnal went back to the 2nd division with the club. In the 2nd division İnal established himself again as a regular player. With 21 goals he was the top scorer of the Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi for the third time in his career .

In the summer of 2004 İnal Altay left Izmir and switched to league rivals Elazığspor . Here he played a season in which he was not used continuously. For the next season he moved to the third division Bucaspor . For Bucaspor he only played the first half of the season and moved to the second half of the TFF 2nd Lig to Yıldırım Bosnaspor . With this club he ended the season and then his active playing career.

National team

From the Turkish U-17 national team to the Turkish U-21 national team, almost all Turkish youth national teams went through .

Coaching career

After his career, İnal switched to coaching and worked as an assistant coach from then on. Since then he has assisted Kemal Kılıç in all of his stations. Only in summer did he work for Izmirspor without Kılıç.
