Muhammet Reis (born October 27, 1984 in Trabzon ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Reis started with club football in the youth of Trabzonspor and played here until 2004. He then switched to the third division Erzurumspor as a professional player . After just one season he returned to Trabzonspor and took part in the pre-season training camp with the professional team. After the end of this camp, he was loaned to Kocaelispor for the upcoming season . Here he only played the first half of the season. So he was loaned to Akçaabat Sebatspor for the second half of the season. At Sebatspor, he was one of the most noticeable players on his team with four goals in 15 games. So the club signed him at the end of the season including the transfer fee.

Since he missed relegation with Sebatspor in the summer of 2007 and the club was in debt facing liquidation, Reis left this club and moved to the third division Arsinspor . With this he managed to jump into the starting XI right away. With eight goals in 27 games, he was one of the top performers of this team. After one season, Reis moved to league rivals Konya Şekerspor . Here he only spent the first half of the season and was loaned to his old club Akçaabat Sebatspor for the second half of the season. Returned to Şekerspor in summer 2009, he played here as a regular for the next two seasons. Since Şekerspor had merged with Konyaspor to Torku Konyaspor , Reis left Şekerspor when his contract ended.

In the summer of 2012 he then moved to the third division Balıkesirspor . With this club he reached the championship of the TFF 2nd Lig in the 2012/13 season and thus the promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . Reis wore the captain's armband this championship season. In the 1st Lig, Reis continued his form. With 19 league goals, he was instrumental in the runner-up of his team and thus contributed to the fact that his club rose again to the Süper Lig after 38 years of abstinence . This season, Reis was also the top scorer of the second division 2013/14 season together with Slavko Perović .

After the rise, Reis negotiated a contract extension with Balıkesirspor. While Reis insisted on a three-year contract, Balıkesirspor only offered him a two-year contract. So both sides could not find an agreement. On the second day of the 2014 summer transfer period, Reis moved to second division club Osmanlıspor FK . Here he received a three-year contract. Reis also excelled as a top performer at his new club. With his 15 goals this season, he was again the most successful goalscorer of his team and made a significant contribution to the runner-up and promotion.

Even after this promotion he left his club and this time moved to the second division Kardemir Karabükspor . With this club, too, he achieved promotion to the Süper Lig through the runner-up. He then moved to the second division Büyükşehir Gaziantepspor and in January 2018 to Giresunspor .

National team

In 2002, Reis played a total of eleven times for the Turkish U-19 national team . For the U-21 national team of Turkey he completed an encounter in 2006. In addition, he won the silver medal with the Turkish Olympic selection at the Mediterranean Games in 2005 .
