Avdija Vršajević (born March 6, 1986 in Tešanj , Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian football player .

Career

Avdija Vršajević played in his youth for NK TOŠK Tešanj and later for FK Željezničar Sarajevo . In Sarajevo , the attacker was accepted into the first division squad for the 2004/05 season. After a year Vršajević moved to league rivals NK Čelik Zenica .

In the summer of 2007 the Bosnian was signed by Sparta Prague . The striker, who can also be used in attacking midfield, signed a four-year contract with the Czech record champions. Before the start of the season, Vršajević, who was unable to attend the Prague training camp in Carinthia due to a visa problem , was loaned to SK Kladno .

In the summer of 2008 he moved to the Slovak club 1. FC Tatran Prešov on loan , and in the winter of 2008/09 the Bosnian signed a three-year contract there. Vršajević has been under contract with Croatian 1st division club Hajduk Split since 2012.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for newly promoted Osmanlıspor FK . For Osmanlıspor FK Vršajević played 65 league games. In the summer of 2018 he moved to Akhisar Belediyespor

National team

Avdija Vršajević played for the national soccer team of Bosnia-Herzegovina . Vršajević is a member of the 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup .
