society

Nounkeu was born in the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé . Club football began here in the youth of his home club 'Collège Vogt Atletic'. At the age of nineteen, he moved to the reserve team at FC Metz . In 2006 he joined the French amateur club CSO Amnéville . Here he played two seasons and made 16 league appearances. In 2008/09 he moved to the French fourth division club FC Pau . Here he came on 24 missions in one season and was watched by several scouts during this season. Consequently, after a year at FC Pau, he moved to French top club Toulouse FC . In Toulouse he was used regularly and made 18 league games.

For the 2010/11 season he came to an agreement with the Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor and moved to the Turkish Süper Lig . After initial adjustment problems, he won a regular place in the professional team in November 2010 and has been one of the top performers on his team ever since.

On June 8, 2012, Dany Nounkeu's transfer to Galatasaray Istanbul was officially announced. He signed for four years and Galatasaray paid Gaziantepspor a transfer fee of € 3.3 million. He played his first competitive game for the red and yellow on August 13 at the Supercup 2012 match against arch-rivals Fenerbahçe Istanbul .

Shortly before the end of the winter transfer period of the 2013/14 season, Nounkeu was awarded to city rivals Beşiktaş Istanbul for half a year . Beşiktaş Istanbul had a purchase option for him, with a transfer fee of 1.8 million euros, which was valid until May 31, 2014. Nounkeu has been under contract with Granada CF since the 2014/2015 season. So far, however, he has not been used.

After being loaned to FC Granada for one season in the summer of 2014 , he returned early to Galatasaray for the winter break of 2014/15 and was then loaned to the French club Évian Thonon Gaillard for the second half of the season.

For the 2015/16 season, Galatasaray dissolved the contract with Nounkeu. Bursaspor signed him on a free transfer. After just one season he moved on to Kardemir Karabükspor within the Turkish Süper Lig . During the 2017/18 winter break, he switched to league rival Akhisar Belediyespor .

National team

Nounkeu took part with the Cameroonian U-17 national team in the U-17 World Cup in 2003 and was eliminated from the tournament with his team in the group stage.

Nounkeu made his debut for the Cameroon national football team in a friendly against Italy in March 2010 .
