The Club Sportif Orne 1919 Amnéville-les-Thermes (short: CSO Amnéville ) is a French football club from the Lorraine city of Amnéville (German Amenweiler or Stahlheim ).
history
The club was founded in 1919. In 1924 the CSO rose to the Division d'Honneur for the first time . When northeast Lorraine (congruent with the Moselle department ) was occupied by the German Reich , the CSO Amnéville came into play for the German Football Association . In addition, the association was Germanized.
After the end of the war, the CSO Amnéville came back to the game operations of the FFF, the French football association. In 1975 the team rose to Division 3 as champions in the fourth division . A respectable fifth place was achieved in the first year. In the second year, however, was a 15th place in the table. This was associated with relegation. In 1981 the club from the Metz periphery was able to rise again to Division 3. After the championship in the Honneur Lorraine division in 2016/17, the CSO Amnéville has been playing in the fifth class National 3 - F (Grand Est) since 2017/18 .
