Gerard Bi Goua Gohou (born December 29, 1988 in Soubré ) is an Ivorian football player who has been playing for Kasimpasa Istanbul since winter 2020 . He is right-footed and plays as a center forward .

Career

Gohou played in his youth at Jeunesse Club d'Abidjan , where he played his first professional game in the Côte d'Ivoire Premier Division in 2008 . In 2008 he moved to Morocco to Hassania US Agadir , where he was top scorer with nine goals. On February 15, 2010 it was announced that Gohou was moving to the Swiss club Neuchâtel Xamax .

In the summer of 2012 he moved to the Turkish second division club Kayseri Erciyesspor . The decisive factor in this change was that the new Erciyesspor coach, Osman Özköylü , already worked with Gohou in the previous season at Denizlispor and had his player brought to his new place of work. At this club, Gohou quickly became a top performer. With his 19 goals this season, he played a significant role in ensuring that his team reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig and thus direct promotion to the Süper Lig . In addition, he and his strike partner Emrah Bozkurt formed the most accurate strike duo of the season. Despite these successes, Kayseri Erciyesspor did not extend the expiring contract with Gohou, so he moved to Russia for FK Krasnodar for the following season free of charge .

At the beginning of the 2014/2015 season, the Ivorian moved to the Premjer League (Kazakhstan) to FK Qairat Almaty . The center forward spent his best and most successful time to date. He played 121 games in three seasons and scored 91 goals, including eleven goals in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League . In the winter of 2018, Gerard Gohou moved to China to Beijing Enterprises in the country's second division, China League One . Gerard Gohou played 48 games in two seasons and scored 31 times. At the start of the second half of the 2019/20 Süper Lig , the now 31-year-old signed a one and a half year contract with the option to extend by two years at Kasimpasa Istanbul .
