Ulugʻbek Baqoyev (often Ulugbek Baqoyev or Bakayev ; Cyrillic Улугбек Истамович Бакаев; born November 28, 1978 in Bukhara ) is a former Uzbek football player .

Career

Ulug'bek Baqoyev began his career in 1997 with FK Buxoro in his home country, where he played until 2000. He spent the following two years in Russia with PFK CSKA Moscow and Torpedo-ZIL Moscow . In 2003 the striker was under contract with FK Buxoro and FK Andijon from Uzbekistan and FK Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk from Russia. From 2004 he played in Kazakhstan with Tobol Qostanai . In 2008 he returned to his home country to the top club Bunyodkor Tashkent . Since 2010 the striker has been running again for the Kazakh club Tobol Qostanai.

National team

Ulugbek Baqoyev was a member of the Uzbek national football team from 2001 to 2014 .
