Alexandru Golban (also Alexander Golban ; born February 28, 1979 in Chișinău , then Soviet Union , now Republic of Moldova ) is a former Moldovan football player . The striker played a total of 175 games in the Moldovan Divizia Națională , the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha , the German 2nd Bundesliga , the Romanian League 1 and the Kazakh Premjer League . He was active 15 times for the Moldovan national team .

Career

Golban played from 2002 for the Moldovan first division club FC Dacia Chișinău and from January 2004 for the Ukrainian first division club Karpaty Lviv . In January 2007, he moved to the relegation-threatened German second division club Eintracht Braunschweig , who signed him as part of the “Eleven victories for the second division” campaign with which the club wanted to prevent relegation to the regional league. For the 2007/08 season, Braunschweig rose anyway from the regional league and Golban left the club and joined Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț .

Golban has played 15 international matches for Moldova so far.
