Nilton Mendes Pereira (born January 7, 1976 in Brazil , † September 18, 2006 in Kazakhstan ) was a Brazilian football player . He played in the position of a center forward.

Mendes was released from the junior division of the AA Internacional (Limeira) in 1998 after he was not intended for the leap into the professional squad. In the same year was for Russia to Zhemchuzhina Sochi taught. A year later he went to Kazakhstan to Irtysh Pavlodar . With the club he could in his first season champions are. In 2002 he went to Zhenis Astana with whom he could win the cup. This was followed by a move to Shakhtar Karagandy in 2004 and a return to Astana in 2005.

In 2006 he went back to Karagandy. He died here on September 18, 2006 as a result of a heart attack. An ambulance was called after Mendes complained of chest pain during exercise. He was still taken to a hospital but could not be saved.
