Soubré is a town in the department of the same name in the Bas-Sassandra district in the central southwest of the Ivory Coast .

The city with 175,163 inhabitants (2014 census) has seen a strong increase in population. It is located on the Sassandra River . Cocoa and coffee are mainly grown in the area.
