Jeunesse Club d'Abidjan Treichville , often abbreviated as JC Abidjan , is an Ivorian football club from Abidjan .
history
The association was founded in 1933. At the beginning, the team had problems in team play despite strong individual players, but was able to improve, was a finalist of the Coupe Darre in 1938 and winner of the Abidjan City Cup in 1942. As a result, JC became the dominant force in the Ivory Coast colony. In 1948 the club qualified via the South Zone for the final of the Coupe d'AOF against Foyer France Sénégal from Dakar . JC lost the game on May 9, 1948 in Abidjan 4-0.
JC Abidjan’s greatest success was winning the Ivorian Cup in 1963. The club currently plays in the Ivorian Premier League. The club, in the club colors red and white, plays its home games in the Stade Robert-Champroux , which has space for 20,000 spectators.
