Benjamin Rojas

Benjamín Rojas Pessi (born April 16, 1985 in La Plata , Argentina ) is an Argentine actor and singer in the band Erreway . He became famous in Germany through Rebelde Way and Jake & Blake.

Life

Private life

Rojas was born in 1985 in the Argentine city of La Plata and attended the local sports club, where he played rugby. Between 2001 and 2004 Rojas had a relationship with his serial and band colleague Camila Bordonaba . From 2004 to 2008 he was with the Argentine model Maria Del Cerro . He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Career

Rojas' acting career began in 1998 with his role as Yago in Cris Morena's children 's series Chiquititas . After the restructuring of the series in the following year, he played Bautista Arce, whom he played for three years and also in the connected television film Chiquititas: Rincón de Luz .

As part of the television series Rebelde Way - Leb dein Leben, the band Erreway was formed in 2002 from the series actors Rojas, Camila Bordonaba , Felipe Colombo and Luisana Lopilato . The group released three studio albums, which were very successful commercially due to the popularity of the series, especially in Latin America.

After Chiquititas and Rebelde Way , Rojas played in two other Cris Morena productions in 2004 and 2006: Floricienta and Alma Pirata . He was also involved in the soundtrack of both series - now as a solo artist. Rojas also embodied his roles in the theater versions of the series Chiquititas (2001), Floricienta (2005) and Alma Pirata (2006). In February 2008 the play El Libro de la Selva ( The Jungle Book ) premiered, in which Rojas appears as Mowgli. At the end of the year he signed a contract with the Disney Channel . In 2009, he played the eponymous twins in the series Jake & Blake . For this engagement he canceled his role in Cinderella with Luisana Lopilato.
