Camila Bordonaba (born September 4, 1984 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine actress and singer in the band Erreway .

Life

Camila Bordonaba was born in El Palomar , a district of Buenos Aires, as the daughter of Juan Carlos and Nora Bordonaba. She has two older siblings, Rodrigo and Melina.

Career as an actress

Camila is the third youngest child of Juan Carlos Bordonaba and his wife Nora Bordonaba. Camila Bordonaba entered a casting for the television series Chiquititas in 1995 at the age of eleven . Whereupon in 1996 she was given the role of "Pato". This series achieved great popularity in Israel and other Far Eastern countries. Further decoupling from Chiquitas were "Chiquitas, la historia" and "rincón de luz". Camila left the series in the seventh season, which was also the final season. When Chiquitas was rewritten for a theater play in Buenos Aires , she got the role of "Camila Bustillo". A year later (2002) Camila Bordonaba played the Marizza Pia Spirito in the Argentine telenovela Rebelde Way . Rebelde Way is one of the most famous Argentinian series, it has been broadcast in more than 23 nations in South, North, Central America, Asia and Europe. The music for the series comes from the Argentine pop band Erreway , in which Bordonaba and her fellow actors Benjamín Rojas , Felipe Colombo and Luisana Lopilato played. In 2004 they shot the movie "Erreway - 4 Caminos", which was to be a continuation of the Rebelde Way series . In the same year, Camila Bordonaba played in the series Floricienta . In 2005 she played the role of "Sisi" in the film "El Patrón de la Vereda". In the beginning of 2007 she got a role in the series "Son de Fierro", one of the most popular Argentine television series. Felipe Colombo also plays next to her. Both got their roles through the Israeli producer Yair Dori , who partially finances the series.

Career as a musician

Together with Felipe Colombo, Benjamín Rojas and Luisana Lopilato, Camila Bordonaba founded the band Erreway . They released their first album "Senales" in 2002, which is also the soundtrack for the Rebelde Way series . Their second album "Tiempo (dt. Zeit)" brought them great popularity. In 2004 they released their third album for the movie Erreway 4 Caminos . This album is called "Memoria". The band split in the same year. Two years later they got together again and produced two more albums: "El Disco De Rebelde Way" and "En Concierto". The band gave their last live appearance in December 2006 in Spain .

Career as a model

Together with her band and acting colleague Luisana Lopilato, Camila Bordonaba models in Argentina for women's clothing and underwear. Luisana Lopilato and Camila Bordonaba are among the most famous models in Argentina.

Camila Bordonaba celebrated many successes with the band Erreway . Through the five albums with the band, she became known mainly in Latin American countries. Between 2003 and 2004 they gave several concerts all over South America, Dominica and Israel.

social commitment

Camila Bordonaba has opened an art gallery together with fellow actor and band Felipe Colombo , the proceeds of which go to charitable organizations. In 2007 Bordonaba set up his own art school called Arcoyra . Here, too, she was supported by Colombo and fans. The school opened its doors in 2008.
