Cris Morena
María Cristina De Giacomi (short: Cris Morena ) (born August 23, 1956 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine television producer , actress , composer , songwriter , music producer , fashion model and founder of the Cris Morena Group .
Life
María Cristina De Giacomi grew up as the youngest of four children in a middle-class family in Palermo , a district of Buenos Aires. Her father was an engineer and her mother a sociologist . She attended a religious private school before starting model work at the age of 17. In Argentina she was the face of Lee Jeans . During the military dictatorship in Argentina, she studied social pedagogy at the university .
It was also during this time that she began taking part in plays . During rehearsals for the piece Voltop , she met Gustavo Yanklevich and fell in love with him. In 1974 she married him. She has two children, Romina and Tomas.
She began playing the piano in 1980 and was considered one of the most successful pianists in the country at the time. She distributed her pieces through the Argentina Songwriters Association .
In 1984 she starred in the comedy series Mesa de Noticias . She later took on an extra role in Amigos son de los Amigos . Her last appearance was in 1994 in the telenovela Quereme . Two years later, she divorced her husband.
family
Gustavo Yanklevich, her husband, was director of the Argentine broadcaster Telefe , which he left in 2000 and moved to RGB International . At the same time, María Cristina founded her own company, the Cris Morena Group . The two companies have been working together since 2004, when the series Floricienta was shot.
Cris Morena's daughter Romina († September 28, 2010 in Buenos Aires ) was an actress like her mother. She played her first role in Jugate Conmigo . She also appeared in the series Chiquititas from 1995 to 1998 and in the sequel Chiquititas: Ricon da Luz in 2001. This series was produced by her mother.
Her son Tomas studied at the University of Southern California . He works for RGB and the Cris Morena Group and also worked as art director on Bandana's album Vivir Intendando . In December 2008 he married Sofia Recca.
