Latin Grammy
The Latin Grammy Award , Latin Grammy for short or also known as the Spanish Grammy Latino , is a prize for Portuguese and Spanish-language popular music that has been awarded annually to well-known artists ( singers , composers , musicians ), production managers and sound engineers since 2000 .
The first Latin Grammy Awards were broadcast by CBS in 2000 . It was the first primarily Spanish-language program in prime time on US television. The Latin Grammy Awards so far have been held in Los Angeles , Miami , New York City , Las Vegas , Houston and São Paulo and are currently broadcast by Univision .
