Gardel Awards

The Gardel Award is an Argentine music prize that has been awarded since 1999 and is organized and presented by CAPIF , the domestic collecting society. The name of the award goes back to the Argentine musician Carlos Gardel .

So far, Sandro , Mercedes Sosa , León Gieco , Charly García (2 ×), Babasónicos , Bersuit , Andrés Calamaro (2 ×), Gustavo Cerati (2 ×), Luis Alberto Spinetta and Dividos have won the "Gardel de Oro" (German: " Goldener Gardel ") win. The awards committee consists of musicians, journalists, producers and other representatives of the music industry. The Gardel Award is presented in 45 categories.

The Gardel Award is comparable to the German Echo , Comet and the American Grammy Awards .
