Márcio Ferreira Nobre (born November 6, 1980 in Jateí , Mato Grosso do Sul ), also known as Mert Nobre in Turkey , is a Brazilian football coach and former player who has also been a Turkish national since August 2006 .

career

Nobre played in several youth clubs. He was discovered by the Brazilian football club Paraná Clube and transferred to them. After playing there for a few years (up to the 02/03 season), Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte secured the services of Nobre, for which they paid a € 1 million transfer fee.

A few months later, he moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul on loan for two and a half years . His first game at Fenerbahçe was a friendly between Fenerbahçe and Vitesse Arnhem on January 13, 2004, his first league game was on January 18, 2004 against Çaykur Rizespor , where he contributed two goals to the 4-1 win. On the penultimate matchday on May 22, 2005, Mert Nobre scored the only goal of the day in the derby against Galatasaray and thus Fenerbahçe won the championship title of the 2004/05 season early . With Fenerbahçe he became Turkish champions twice in a row.

On May 18, 2006, he agreed on a contract with Beşiktaş JK for the period from the 2006/07 season . The transfer fee for him was around $ 3 million. On July 30, 2006 Mert Nobre played his first competitive game for Beşiktaş JK in the Turkish Supercup 2006 and also scored his first competitive goal; thus he helped his team to victory in the Supercup.

Nobre played the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons for Mersin İdman Yurdu . After the club relegated to the 2nd division, the striker dissolved his contract and signed with Kayserispor .

In summer 2015 he moved to the Swiss club FC Wil . He returned to Turkey for the 2016/17 season and was hired by third division Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor . With this club he finished this season as a play-off winner and rose to the TFF 1st Lig . This success was repeated again in the following season.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the second division Gençlerbirliği Ankara .
