Yasin Pehlivan (born January 5, 1989 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player . He has both Austrian and Turkish citizenship .

The son of Turkish immigrants began his career in 1998 at WS Ottakring , where he played until 2000. From 2000 to 2002 he was awarded by the Ottakringers to First Vienna FC . From 2002 it was awarded to SK Rapid Vienna . After two years he was finally signed by the Austrian record champions.

Due to his good performance in the amateur squad, Pehlivan switched to the Bundesliga squad in January 2009. He made his Bundesliga debut in the first round of the second half of the season on February 22, 2009 against FC Red Bull Salzburg . On March 14, 2009 he scored his first Bundesliga goal with a long shot in a 6-0 home win against Kapfenberg.

In 2009 he was named “Toto Young Star”.

On May 30, 2011, SK Rapid Vienna announced the move to Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor , where he received a five-year contract. The transfer fee should have been around one million euros. The then coach of Gaziantepspors, Tolunay Kafkas , who had played in the Austrian Bundesliga for several years , made a particular effort to make this change . After his move he had teething problems with his new club and a difficult relationship with Kafkas. After Kafkas' resignation Pehlivan improved and later delivered the expected performances under the coach Hikmet Karaman .

After two years at Gaziantepspor, he moved to Bursaspor within the league in the summer of 2013 . The main reason for the change was the fact that his former coach Hikmet Karaman now worked as a coach at Bursaspor. After Pehlivan was only used in one cup encounter in the first half of the 2014/15 season, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement during the winter break of this season.

Two days after separating from Bursaspor, he joined league rivals Kayseri Erciyesspor . With the descent of Erciyesspor in summer 2015, he left the club after a season. At the end of August 2015, Pehlivan joined FC Red Bull Salzburg . After only one season he left "the bulls" in the summer of 2016. After being out of a club for the 2016/17 season, he moved to Spartak Trnava in Slovakia for the 2017/18 season . At the end of the season he was able to become champions with Trnava.

For the 2018/19 season he returned to Turkey and moved to the second division Gençlerbirliği Ankara . With Gençlerbirliği he rose to the end of the season in the Süper Lig. After 16 first division appearances in the 2019/20 season, he left the club after two seasons. He then moved to league competitor Çaykur Rizespor for the 2020/21 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.

National team

He has previously played one game for the Austrian U-20 team and was nominated for the first time by Dietmar Constantini for the Austrian national team in March 2009 , where he made his debut in the World Cup qualifier against Romania on April 1, 2009 .
