The Football Club Spartak Trnava , known in German-speaking countries as Spartak Trnava , is a Slovak football club from Trnava . Spartak was already one of the best football clubs in Czechoslovakia .

history

The football club was founded on May 30, 1923. The years 1968 to 1973 represented the most successful period for Trnava football. Karol Dobiaš from Trnava also played in the squad of the victorious Czechoslovak national team during the 1976 European Championship in Yugoslavia . After Slovakia became independent, Spartak then played permanently in the Slovak first division with the exception of the 2000/01 season. The best placement came in the 1996/97 and 1997/98 seasons, where second place was achieved. The team from Trnava is also known for the riots of the fans and for the shouting "Trnava do teho!" - "Trnava come!", Which is colloquial. According to the grammar it should be "Trnava do toho!" be called. The team is called "Bili andeli" - "White Angels" because there are many churches in the city, but the name is also colloquial, correct is "Bieli anjeli". The Slovak championship was won for the first time in the 2017/18 season .
